America Cardona

Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board-Approved Supervisor

Meet the Mad Hatter Behind the Healing

America Cardona is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and board-approved supervisor. When it comes to therapy, she is a bit of a Mad Hatter. Born and raised here in Dallas, she has spent over a decade in behavioral health, supporting people through trauma, anxiety, grief, and the messy parts of being human.

With both her Bachelor's and Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas Arlington, she has worked across hospitals, community clinics, psychiatric facilities, and even post-disaster recovery zones, blending medical and mental health in every space she enters.

She specializes in helping people untangle the chaos and find clarity, especially those who feel like they’re too much, not enough, or somewhere in between. First responders, survivors, and anyone navigating identity and healing—you’re not alone here.

America calls herself the Mad Hatter because she believes healing doesn’t have to look one way. It can be loud, raw, real, and it belongs to you. Her hope at Southwest Mind & Body is to create a space where every part of you is welcome. Especially the ones that feel the most “mad.”

When America is not in session, you’ll find her soaking up time with her family and kids. Her greatest grounding force.

“Pull up a chair. You’re always welcome at the table.” – America
