SPRAVATO® Nasal Spray in Dallas, TX

What Is SPRAVATO Nasal Spray?

Made from a derivative of ketamine, SPRAVATO nasal spray is FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression, especially in adults who struggle with major depressive disorder and suicidal behavior. Although the FDA has not approved ketamine to treat depression, the nasal spray and ketamine are considered controlled substances and must be administered under a physician’s supervision. Southwest Mind & Body Care offers this advanced treatment to patients seeking an alternative therapy for depression. Our holistic care team will monitor your symptoms and any side effects from the nasal spray during treatment. Schedule a consultation with our team at our Dallas, TX practice to learn more about SPRAVATO nasal spray and its benefits.

What Can I Expect From Using SPRAVATO Nasal Spray?

With only two sprays per dose, SPRAVATO nasal spray is taken under a doctor’s supervision. Before spraying the dose, patients should gently blow their noses to clear the nostrils. As you place the nasal spray tip into one nostril, slightly tilt your head back and press the plunger as you gently sniff the spray. Then, repeat the same steps for the other nostril.

If another nasal spray is required, you must wait five minutes for the medicine to be absorbed. If liquid drips from your nose, wipe gently with a tissue. Never blow your nose. For a single treatment, some patients may need three doses of the nasal spray. Our team may ask you to stay for at least two hours after the dose to monitor any potential side effects from the medication, such as:

  • Dizziness
  • Drowsiness
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Tiredness
  • A rise in blood pressure

Serious effects needing medical help include seizures, loss of consciousness, sudden severe headache, chest pain, or shortness of breath. We may ask that you have a companion with you to take you home after treatment.

This is the best medical office or aesthetics centered business I’ve ever seen. On top of them offering services like Red Light Sauna, hyperbaric chambers and other treatments that only celebrities can normally access the staff is very kind and KNOWLEDGEABLE at all the machines. Facility is extemely clean and has a calming aesthetic. 5/5 can’t wait to come back!

This facility is absolutely stunning and feels like home. You walk in and feel at ease. I’m a huge fan of their Sunlighten Sauna and if I could live in it, I would. Prices are competitive and the best in the metroplex. Great place to come alone for some relaxation or for a fun afternoon with friends.
